The Ladli Laxmi Yojana is a welfare scheme launched by the Indian government with the aim to provide financial assistance to families belonging to economically weaker sections of society. The scheme provides for a monthly allowance of INR 6,000 to be deposited into the account of the beneficiary girl child till she reaches the age of 21.
To avail of the benefits of this scheme, one must register for it at the nearest Common Service Center (CSC). The registration process is relatively simple and can be completed online. Alternatively, one can also visit the office of the District Magistrate to register for the scheme.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for this scheme, the following conditions must be met:
- The family's income must not exceed INR 2 lakh per annum.
- The girl child must be between 0-12 years of age at the time of registration.
- The beneficiary girl must be a resident of India.
- The beneficiary girl must be unmarried at the time of availing of benefits under this scheme.
- Only one girl child in a family can avail of benefits under this scheme.
Documentation Required
The following documents are required at the time of registration:
- Self-attested copy of the birth certificate of the beneficiary girl child.
- Residence proof of beneficiary girl child as well as her parents in the form of Aadhar card/electricity bill/ration card, etc.
- Income proof of beneficiary's family in the form of salary slip/Income Tax Return (ITR) etc.
Registration Process
The registration process for this scheme is given below:
1. Visit your nearest CSC or office of the District Magistrate and obtain a registration form.
2. Fill out the form with all necessary details such as name, date of birth, address, income, etc. In case you are registering online, you will have to upload all these documents electronically.
3. Once the form is complete, submit it along with all supporting documents at the CSC or office of the District Magistrate. Pay the requisite fee (if any) at the time of submission. You will receive an acknowledgment receipt containing your reference number/registration number which can be used for future correspondence regarding your application status. The officials will process your application and if found eligible, your name will be included in the Ladli Laxmi Welfare Scheme 2022 beneficiaries list the next month itself along with other successful applicants. You will start receiving monthly benefits from that month onwards in your bank account which you would have linked with your Aadhaar card at the time of registration itself. It is important to note that these benefits will continue till you reach 21 years old or get married (whichever is earlier). After which, you will no longer receive any benefits under this scheme.
